Library Find of the Day #2

As the close of the school year ends, more and more "product" is turning up in the staff lounge. Time-worn copies of "Shiloh" and "A Wrinkle in Time" are being removed from the library to make room for some of the young guns. Among the refuse lie a few gems, precious items that I have plucked from a pile of unloved books in hope that someone, somewhere will find a use for them, even if that use is mere mockery.
The above copy is the best of the bunch that I have saved from incineration. What can you say about Roberto Clemente? Well, for one, the guy loved round numbers, achieving his 3,000th hit in mid-July and retiring on the spot. Not really, but who knows how many he would have had if he had lived a few more years. The correct answer to this question is 5,000 even. Had his plane not crashed, Pete Rose wouldn't have been on the cover of the 1986 Topps Sticker Album, nor would he have had the only two-sticker puzzle in the entire book. (That would have been reserved for Dane Iorg, who, in all fairness, did get his own sticker in the World Series section.)
Anyway, here it is, more to follow soon.
