Trade Me Your Brewers: Trade #4

Today's sack o' Brewers treats came in from Cliff at Capewood's Collections. The bar has been set reasonably high at 23 points. Does Cliff's trade have what it takes to be #1?

2004 Donruss Team Heroes #230 Pedro Liriano AUTO +11
Wow, the first autograph culled from this contest! The curious, wants-to-know-everything side of me looked this card up on eBay, just to see how common it is. This search led me to believe that players get really bored signing these cards, especially the sticker ones. The first card below is the actual card I received, followed by two different copies of the same card on eBay. Just a little something to break the monotony, I guess.

2004 Topps Traded #T59 and #T59 Gold (0268/2004) Junior Spivey +5
Gotta love it when babies are given the first name Junior.

2004 Topps Traded #T12 Ben Grieve (0211/2004) +4
Hmm, 234 at bats for the Brewers and I don't remember a single one.

2004 Leaf Press Proof Blue #150 (037/100) Ben Sheets +4
Had his second bad outing in a row today. He's on my "ick" list. At least for the next five days.

2002 Fleer Tradition Glossy #314 (180/200) Jeromy Burnitz +4
The numbered cards keep on coming.

2001 MLB Showdown#235 Valerio De Los Santos, #230 Juan Acevedo, #231 Ron Belliard, and #240 Geoff Jenkins +4
Part of some sort of game. I had the Cadaco baseball game with the discs and spinners when I was little. That needs to be brought back. Now it looks like Cadaco put all of its eggs into the EnviroBlox basket. Sickening.

2000 Fleer/Skybox Impact #180 Geoff Jenkins, #139 Jeromy Burnitz, and #21 Robinson Cancel +3
I'm certainly getting plenty of Jenkins cards in these trades. You kind of forget how long he was on the team.

2000 Fleer Tradition Update #U82 Horacio Estrada and Ray King +1
Thinking back, Ray King was one of those guys who would come to the mound in relief and you would just be ambivalent about it.

2000 Skybox Metal #120 David Nilsson and #159 Geoff Jenkins +2
Nilsson, the last All-Star catcher for the Brewers. We could use a guy like him now. Meanwhile, the Twins just pluck Joe Mauer from their backyard pumpkin patch. That steams me like you would not believe.

2000 Topps #389 Geoff Jenkins, #189 Fernando Vina, #419 Jamey Wright, and #46 Jose Valentin +4
This is another set I am just seeing for the first time here. And how did Topps celebrate the new milennium through the interpretive medium of card design? Gray.

Yeah, Cliff's in the lead. He'll be getting a bunch of Phillies and Astros in the mail soon. Let's take a peek at the leader board.

STANDINGS
1. 42 pts: Cliff from Capewood's Collections
2. 23 pts: Rob from Rangers Cards
3. 19 pts: Kerry from Oregon
4. 18 pts: David from Tribe Cards
