Trade Me Your Brewers: Trade #9

Following Chris Harris' epic trade comes an offering from dayf, prolific blogger of the site Cardboard Junkie. This one is another "monstah" that I hope you'll enjoy. By the way, he doesn't mean to brag, he doesn't mean to boast, but he's intercontinental when he eats French toast.

2004 Upper Deck #129 Tim Bauscher Rookie Reflections (0211/1250) +4
I think this guy eventually became a part of the Red Sox minors. His family was excessively poor, which might explain why they couldn't afford the Arizona Brewers' team fees, part of which goes towards hat patches.

2007 Topps '52 Rookies #TCRC91 Yovani Gallardo Refractor (529/552) +4
What if the top three starters in our rotation were Sabathia, Sheets, and Gallardo?

2004 Leaf Certified Materials #171 Scott Podsednik (071/100) +4
Puh-sed-nik won a world series in Chicago. Good for him.

2005 Topps U&H Gold #UH235 Dana Eveland (0643/2005) +4
Now a starting pitcher with Oakland.

2006 Topps Finest #153 Nelson Cruz AUTO +11
Now with the Rangers, but hasn't played this year.

2001 Royal Rookies High Yield #HY-04 Nick Neugebauer AUTO (1398/3995) +14
Injuries cut his career short.

2004 Donruss Parallels #296 Geoff Jenkins (05/81) and #299 Wes Helms (248/332) +8
Serial numbering based on season or career stats. Weird.

2003 Fleer Tradition Update #U296 Pedro Liriano +1
Wikipedia says he's a minor league pitcher now.

2002 Donruss Diamond Kings #37 Richie Sexson (266/400) +4
Richie took time out during a fun trip to a roller coaster park to sit for a street artist.

1975 Topps #636 Charlie Moore +1
Why does this set, which uses a random color scheme for every player on every team, succeed while 1990 Topps failed so miserably?

1973 Topps #176 Chuck Taylor +0
Sorry dayf, this was traded to me in a promotion last year.

1971 Topps #48 Dave Baldwin +1
Hair by Honky Tonk Man.

2004 Fleer Tradition #DT-RS Richie Sexson Diamond Tributes +5
Chris traded me this one first, but you still get the five jersey points.

2006 Bazooka Rewind #BR-NC Nelson Cruz +6
I always like the swatches from irregular jerseys.

2007 Topps U&H Prince Fielder Generation Now 1 and 24 +2
Nice job on checking my want lists.

2004 Donruss Studio #111 Rickie Weeks +1
The tall building in the background is the U.S. Bank building (formerly the Firstar Building, formerly the First Wisconsin Building), the tallest building in Wisconsin. It's not very tall, as buildings go.

2002 Donruss Originals #3 Brian Mallette Rated Rookie +1
Pitched five innings for the Brewers in 2002, giving up six hits, three of which were home runs, for a 10.80 career ERA.

2006 Topps '52 Rookies #20 Carlos Villanueva +1
Has gotten plenty of rest recently, what with Brewers starters going the full nine so often.

That looks like 72 points. Pretty close, but this contest's not about close. "Beautiful gold, so-so silver, and shameful bronze."

1. 90 pts: Chris from Stale Gum
2. 72 pts: dayf from Cardboard Junkie
3. 42 pts: Cliff from Capewood's Collections
4. 30 pts: Dan from New York

6. 19 pts: Kerry from Oregon
