Trade Me Your Brewers: Trade #17

This trade comes in from Matt, a former Wisconsinite. This makes him cool in my book. Also making him cool is the fact that he wants Royals in return. I'm pretty sure he'd also understand a Milkbreath reference, so there you go. Let's see how he did.

2006 Fleer Tradition #40 Prince Fielder B&W Parallel +1
I was able to build this whole set from a single box, but never got this card. In fact, I only got a small handful of parallels, so if you want a Bartolo Colon or a Miguel Tejada, let me know.

1974 Topps #288 Gorman Thomas +1
The back of this awesome card states that "Gorman enjoys billiards." While I won't argue with that, I highly doubt he ever called it "billiards."

2008 Topps Allen & Ginter Mini #314 Mike Cameron +1
Mike has been on a tear lately. Let's hope this continues.

1985 Leaf #162 Dion James +1
A batted ball by James hit and killed a bird in 1987. He got a double.

2006 Fleer Tradition #GR-16 Carlos Lee Grass Roots +1
Isn't that the name of Creed's band?

2003 Donruss #319 Takahito Nomura +1
From Wikipedia: "Nomura recorded his name as "Takaki Nomura" from 2000 to 2001." Other Brewers followed this trend with little to no publicity. Gweoff Gankins played left field and Rizzchy Sextexson covered first base.

2008 Topps Finest #83 J.J. Hardy, #144 Mel Stocker, and #80 Prince Fielder +3
These are really nice cards that could be used as drink coasters in a pinch.

2008 Upper Deck National Baseball Card Day #UD13 Prince Fielder +1
Lobby your congressman to push for NBCD to be a national holiday!

2004 Fleer Greats #30 Paul Molitor +1
Paul's stats only go back to 1982 on this card. I'm not a fan of that.

2003 Flair Greats #42 Rollie Fingers +1
Rollie's having a "good mustache day" on the front of this card. Plus his stats go all the way back to 1969.

1984 Fleer Rick Manning +1
Rick has no facial expression or grimace here, choosing instead to sneak up on the ball like a ninja.

2003 Upper Deck Forty Man #416 Mike DeJean and #415 Ben Sheets +2
All I remember about Mike was the steep learning curve the Milwaukee area had to undergo in order to pronounce his name correctly, with the accent on the first syllable.

2008 Spectrum #RS-CL2 Carlos Lee Retrospectrum Swatches +6
For a horrible split second, I thought I had just been living a nightmare, one in which Lee was still on the Brewers. Then I came to my senses.

2008 Upper Deck #97-GJ Geoff Jenkins Game Jersey +6
Another guy who's not a Brewer. Sorry we laid this guy off on you, Phillies fans.

2008 Topps #TR-RW Rickie Weeks Game-Worn Uniform +6
This card is unnecessarily thick. I think I could re-shingle my roof with these things.

2007 Upper Deck Sweet Spot #CM-PA Dave Parker Classic Memorabilia +6
Look at Dave's armor of blue and yellow! He obviously picked the clubhouse freebies bin clean. I wonder if card companies have ever inserted wrist bands or headbands into cards. I have a Robin Yount game-used wall card, so anything's possible.

2008 Bowman Chrome Refractor #BCP66 David Welch (344/599) +4

At this point in the game, 43 points is pretty good. Thanks Matt, some Royals will be on the way to you soon.
