From: Hobby Box

My 2008 card collecting season got off to a late start when my two boxes of Topps Heritage arrived much later than I had anticipated. (On a related note, I still haven't bought a single pack of '08 Topps Series 1 or 2.) Luckily, both boxes came with a buyback pack. Of the two, this was the obvious favorite. Whammy (Charles William) Douglas pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1957 and had a respectable 3-3 record and 3.26 ERA. Before the 1959 season, Whammy was traded to the Redlegs in a six-player deal that moved Harvey Haddix of 13-perfect-innings-ending-in-a-loss-to-the-Braves fame to Pittsburgh. Whammy never pitched for the Reds.

The quality of this card gets bumped up another notch because of some pen marks in the back. This card was once loved, and has survived the span of 50 years to make it into my hands.
