Trade and Win Update #4

Before we get to far into this trade, I'm going to announce the trading deadline of this contest of September 13th. There's a card show in Milwaukee that I'd like to go to with a current want list in hand.

Not scared off by Wrigley Wax's big point advantage, the trades have continued to come in, this one from It's Just Old Cardboard. This entry will prove to have a definite old school/new school vibe to it. Try not to get caught up in the rap battle.

Old School
Believe it or not, I still need more to complete the set. Here's what I got:
1982 Topps 38 Charlie Lea, 84 Rennie Stennett, 129 Checklist

127 Lonnie Smith, 250 Tug McGraw, 251 Fred Lynn. Surprisingly, Lonnie Smith's facial hair doesn't make me want to vomit.

306 Don Sutton In Action, 615 Bob Boone, 666 Tigers Leaders

The lot is almost rounded out by 744 Mike Witt...

...and 730 Gary Carter just got caught masturbating.

New School
I'm not sure why I've decided to collect this set so hard. The base set with all of the short prints and photo variations is complete, and now I'm going after the chromes. I guess I want to experience all that 2007, my first year back into collecting, has to offer.
2007 Topps '52 Rookies Chrome TCRC84 Jon Coutlangus (1166/1952), TCRC74 Levale Spencer (0259/1952), TCRC73 Juan Perez (1690/1952), TCRC70 Eulogio De La Cruz (0694/1952), TCRC67 Brandon Morrow (1694/1952), TCRC56 Travis Metcalf (1553/1952)

TCRC48 Josh Fields (1790/1952), TCRC46 Danny Putnam (1600/1952), TCRC45 Miguel Montero (1756/1952), TCRC31 Mike Fontenot (1224/1952), TCRC26 Fred Lewis (1732/1952), TCRC13 Alejandro De Aza (0748/1952), TCRC38 Billy Butler (1894/1952)

Let's see, my math tells me that the 1982 Topps (11 x 3) + the 2007 Chromes (13 x 4) = 85 points for It's Just Old Cardboard. I think things just got interesting...
Also, the card total just hit 75, so that means there will be two extra cards thrown in to runners up.

Damn. The Yount is BEAUTIFUL. Sadly, I have nothing on your wants list. I guess I'll just hope I get some awesome cards between now and the deadline.
