2010 Topps Experiment: Completion! (And a Giveaway!)

It's official. I have completed the 330-card base set of 2010 Topps through donations. When I opened today's mail, I was delighted to find the final card I needed, #147 Huston Street. It came from Sean at It's Just Cardboard.

I also got a Tim Lincecum card from reader BS a few days ago, and I'd like to credit him or her for contributing to the experiment even though someone sent it to me just shortly before this one arrived.

Well, that'll do it. I'm removing the count-up timer I had going in the sidebar, but I made sure to take a screenshot of it right after receiving the card. Thirty-five days is an awesome start-to-finish record. Stay tuned for the series 2 project; I'm sure you can help me best this record.

Oh, and as I had promised, I'm holding a contest for all of the doubles I have acquired throughout the duration of this project. You have until Saturday afternoon, at which point I will randomize a winner. There are probably about 100-200 cards that will go to the lucky collector. To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment about why you read Thorzul Will Rule. Good luck, and thanks to everyone who made this possible!

I read Thorzul Will Rule because if I don't I might be Bipped. Actually, the social commentary on the hobby is what keeps me coming back. Free thinking rules.

I read because one of the first blogs I ever came across was this one, and I just keep reading. Also, the missions/challenges/schemes/etc. are always intriguing.

I started to read the blog about a month ago for a fresh new look on card collecting. I've kept reading it because of your humor and clever ideas for the collecting world

I read Thorzul Will Rule because it gets me acquainted with such things as Super Stickers and the band Rancid (Luis Luis Luis Luis Sojo). You actually introduced me to Rancid with that post, and now I love them.

I read Thorzul Will Rule because it fills my daily requirement of fiber (pictures of cardboard still counts as fiber!) and because it's the Thorzuliest!

I read Thorzul Will Rule quite simply because you make sense. That and you just completed a set w/o buying a single card from it

You usually make me laugh with your posts. Plus you are a Brewers fan so you have that going for you also.

Don't enter me in the contest (I have too many dupes already), but I wanted to comment. I read because it's good for me. I read Thorzul because its good for everyone. I had a package ready to go out (not addressed yet, thank goodness) with card #147...and a bipping of epic proportions. Sean really saved your bacon.

I come for the iambic pentameter.

I started reading because of common Brewer fan ground. I continue reading because you are funny as hell and you seem to have fun with card collecting.

I read Thorzul because I can't focus at work.

Blogs like yours convinced me to start my own baseball card blow recently. Plus, who couldn't love your campaigns against Beckett and now MLB.

I don't read the column, I just look at the pictures. Does that count?
