2010 Card-vent Calendar: December 10

December 10, 2010:
1986 Milwaukee Public Museum #13 Pterichthyodes

Yeah, you all had to wait another day to open today's little door and gaze upon the beauty of this card. That's nothing in comparison to how long we've had to wait for this guy. Pterichthyodes has been sitting around for 360 to 370 million years, feeding off the bottom of ponds, hoping against hope that a few small invertebrates would float his way.

To me, Petr Cech-thyodes looks to be part-fish, part-rock-with-cerebral-palsy. The back of the card indicates that the front portion of this fish was covered with armor plates and had freely-moving appendages, like today's lobsters and crabs. And it was six inches long.

Here are some fake stats.
Genus/Species: Retarded poop fish (Non-Latin equivalent)
Battle Cry: Duh!
Tastes: Delicious in butter
Sign: Half-pisces/half-cancer
Can Be Found: Special request Admiral's Feast item at Red Lobster
Defense From Predators: Pretends to be sleeping turd (Very convincing)
