Give Them a Good Home: Unloved Posts - Part I

For whatever reason, sometimes our collective works of genius go unnoticed by the public. Perhaps it was the result of a late-night post that got lost among the zzzzzzz's flying above the rest of our heads. Or maybe the entire country was experiencing beautiful weather and no one was around when you decided to hit "Publish." Or it might be that you run a newer blog with a smaller following, a diamond in the rough that just needs to be polished. Whatever the case, I put a call out this weekend for your unloved posts, heartfelt commentaries that seemed to disappear like the Packers' dynasty hopes following Super Bowl XXXII (as GM Ron Wolf put it, "a fart in the wind.")

Many of you heard the call, culled the archives, and found some material you were proud enough of to give a second chance. Reader, I hope you, too, take another pass at these orphan articles. Hopefully, you'll discover a new voice straining to be heard, or you'll happen upon a "back issue" you missed from one of your favorites. Please check out this first group of unloved posts.

The Sewingmachineguy mixes cards with chocolaty cereals, no talk of bobbins.

Scott Crawford challenges you to a bare-knuckle fight.

For Card's Sake busts a box of what I like to call Bow-Man Chroom.

Climb Mt. Fuji without the aid of steroids, learn about Jose Canseco.

Things Are Funner Here: The grammar might not sparkle, but at least she peeped a real, live Wagner.

Wrigley Wax spots an on-card "townie."

Pack War is dying to give you his John Wall sketch card.

That's the first batch. If you sent me a link and don't see yours yet, don't worry, it will be featured soon.

"she" :-) But no fault of yours, I didn't make that clear at all! Loving these posts!

This one got some love, but not what I was expecting. Anytime I do something creative and it only makes it to first base, it bugs me.

Possible sour grapes on my part.

Thanks!

PS - Don't even get me started on the Code of the Cardboard Gods trailer fiasco (http://bbcrecollections.blogspot.com/2010/05/code-of-cardboard-gods-trailer_04.html).

That one even got an Epic Fail follow up post.

Thanks for the heads-up, Funner. I've reassigned your gender.
