The 100 Best Finds in a 30-Dollar Lot: #20

Here's another one of those "I-hope-he-eventually-pans-out-for-the-sake-of-a-trade" guys.
2007 Tristar Prospects Plus Farmhands #FH-PK Peter Kozma AUTO

Since rookie ball with Johnson City in the Appalachian League, Kozma has steadily worked his way up the Cardinals' farm system. He finally hit triple-A this year with the Memphis Redbirds. Cardinals prospecting sites like to point out how Kozma was drafted in the first round in 2007, quite a few spots ahead of the Tigers' Rick Porcello. There were a lot of guys chosen ahead of Porcello (#27), most notably David Price and Jason Heyward. Baseball drafting is amazingly hit-or-miss, it's hard to blame any organization for such an oversight.

Also, Kozma's signature hints at an inferiority complex. Maybe he doubles as a scrimshaw enthusiast.

He was called up a few weeks ago and doubled in his first MLB at bat. Been riding the pine since.

I knew I could count on someone to give me the update on this guy. Thanks!

Any time. We'd ask you to trade but I think Ike's out of Brewers now.

What other Redbird treasures does this box hold?!?
