2013 Card-vent Calendar: December 13

December 13, 2013:
1998 Pacific Aurora #153 John Jaha

I'm opening and posting this one early for all you stargazers out there.
Tonight, if the sky is clear, look to the heavens due east. About three fists high from the horizon, you should be able to make out the Jaha Borealis. Early explorers attempting to circumnavigate the globe sought out the Jaha Borealis when their cowardice prevented them from pushing westward any further. The stars in this constellation make a clear interlocking M and B pattern, and the accompanying charged particles fueled by the solar wind are sometimes said to resemble a shitty goatee. The path back to Europe, where shame and humiliation would inevitably greet the failed spice traders, was lit by these fabled Eastern Lights.

ESPN has ruined me.

Every time I see a John Jaha card, my inner voice immediately says, "Haha."
