Trade Me Anything IX #5

Today's trade comes from Jim from Garvey Cel Russell Lopes.

Giving:
#US286 Francisco Lindor Gold Parallel (1872/2015)

#US7 Brad Miller Rainbow Foil Parallel

#US97 Josh Ravin

#PP-12 Anthony Rizzo Pride & Perseverance

Getting:
Before we get to the goods, I should share that I only recently became aware that Jim decided to shut things down at gcrl. It makes me sad each time I see another card blog bite the dust, but it's actually refreshing to know that he was able to bow out on his own terms, rather than let the blog languish and wither, as is customary. Thanks for your years of writing, Jim, and happy collecting.

Upon opening the package Jim sent, I see that he sent the trade in four distinct stacks, each topped with one of his blog's namesakes.

Garvey Quadrant
1972 Brewers Bipping
I think I counted 10 of these in all. This is the earliest vintage of card I've ever been Bipped with. Well done.

Cey Quadrant
1976 Topps Needs
Yeah! Set-building help is always appreciated.

Russell Quadrant
1988 Donruss Needs
There's also a Brewer I never heard of numbered to 100 in there. Getting close on that '88 Donruss set.

Lopes Quadrant
1993 Topps Gold Needs
When I eventually finish this set, I'm going to have to make it very clear how much this was a team effort. I probably wouldn't have been crazy enough to tackle it without knowing I would have some help along the way.

Thanks for all of the set help, Jim! I certainly enjoyed the anything!

Pull the Trigger 12.10 ($25)

Since the country can barely look up from its second helping at this moment, I'll take the opportunity to sneak a stack of cards into the pile unnoticed. For my readers who take the holidays off, it'll be like unexpectedly receiving a Hype Bros. T-shirt in the mail that you pretty much don't remember ordering.

Lot of 78 2013 Triple Play Cards, Plus 6 Inserts

The inserts here are stickers, tattoos, eye black, a little bit of everything. As for the cards, there are definitely doubles, but you'll be well on your way to completing this small set.

If you like unlicensed caricatures, pull the trigger for $25 and receive everything below.

Trade Me Anything IX #4

This next trade comes from David in San Diego. I'm pleased to report that he indeed stayed classy at every juncture of this trade.

Giving:
#US159 Darren O'Day Gold Parallel (0538/2015)

#US373 Mitch Harris

#US157 Noah Syndergaard

Getting:
Some Brewers

Some Padres

Some 2014 Update
Yes! Now I only need three more cards to finish last year's set. If anyone needs a hint for what to send if you haven't traded me anything yet, it's 132, 167, and 285.

Ballast Point Beer Coaster
Can't say I've ever had it, but I'd love to try some. I checked out their website, and I must declare that I really like the bottle designs they've come up with, cool ocean themes focusing mostly on pirates and exotic marine life.

UC-Irvine Temporary Tattoo
Now I don't have to worry about impressing others at the beach next summer. This bad boy will put me over with all the cool kids.

Sticker of Three Well-Dressed Men with Red X's Over Their Faces
Coming clean here, I have no idea what this is from. Punk band is my best guess, and if it's not that I'm going with some sort of skateboard-related company. I'm hoping someone can leave a comment that will enlighten me.

Thanks for the cards and the other cool stuff, David! If I'm ever in the area I'll have to try a Commodore and every variety of Sculpin I can get my hands on.

Pull the Trigger 12.9 ($25)

1977 Topps Jim Palmer / Randy Jones Victory Leaders

Both men won 22 games in 1976. I wouldn't mind going back to the days when there were several guys in each league who hit the 20 win mark. In '76 there were three in the AL and five in the NL.

You, too, can feel like a Cy Young Award winner if you pull the trigger now.
